Maximum value in a file too big for memory
A very large text file holds one number per line. Return the largest value. Then speed it up: split the file into chunks, find each chunk's maximum in parallel, and combine. Write the pseudo-code and discuss chunk boundaries, I/O versus CPU limits and memory.
