Defend your own research paper under hard questions
You present one of your published papers to an interviewer who has already read it and may skip your slides to go straight at its weak spots. Be ready to say whether the experimental setup was sound and where it is weakest, whether the method is practical outside the paper's setting, and how later work by you or others has built on it or overtaken it. A good answer is candid about limits and shows you know the field since.
